Good News from Kansas

LGBT state employees received some good news at the end of last week.   The Governor of Kansas, Kathleen Sebelius, signed an executive order on August 31 that bans harassment  and  discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity  in  state employment.   You can view the executive order here.

    Maybe Thomas Frank needs to write a sequel – “What’s Correct With Kansas?”
    Yes, I know “What’s RIGHT with Kansas” makes for better parallelism, but yeesh, I hate making “Right” sound like a good thing! :>)

  2. For now, Dr. George Tiller and his abortion practice is one of the things that’s “correct” with Kansas. But, it looks like the state is looking into changing the law that allows him to do many of the country’s late-term abortions for women who need them.
