The number of women among a newly compiled list of the”ten most cited”law faculty members is zero.

List is here, as compiled by Brian Leiter. For a number of reasons I think it would be useful to have a list of the “ten most cited” women law faculty members, more on this later.

Ann–this is a great idea. You ought to put that list together.

Suzanna Sherry (Vanderbilt) is not on Leiter’s list, despite having a higher number of hits (on westlaw with the Leiter search criteria) than the scholars listed.

    Al,
Leiter beat me to it! I’ll get his list up here soon.

    jaebersole,
I’m sure Leiter will double-check his data if requested to do so.

Update: jaebersole, for the 2005-200 period of Leiter’s study, Suzanna Sherry is not in the top ten among women law profs, though she certainly gets cited a whole lot.

As just an interested party, I couldn’t help noticing the all American make-up of the list(s). Is there a list that includes international law schools and profs.? Don’t spend any time on this, just wondering is all.

Whoops. For some reason I thought it was 2000-2009. Thanks for correcting me.
